Over the past two months the real estate market in the Lower Mainland has been on fire, here are a few selective pieces of information to wet your appetite.
In June 2014 in the Greater Vancouver housing market there were 3,406 sales which constitutes the highest monthly sales since March of 2011. With total listings in the Greater Vancouver area at 16,011 which is down -7.4% from last June, the supply is low for the demand. This creates a Sales to Active Listing ratio of 21.3% creating a Sellers market for the second straight month.
Over the last 18 months the benchmark Greater Vancouver detached home price has increased by 8.4%. Apartments have increased by 5.5% and townhomes by 4.7%.
